The Azienda Terre di Trente is situated between Mt Etna and the sea. The terrain nestles like a jewel at an altitude of 450-500 mt. on the northern side of Mount Etna in the ancient village of Linguaglossa. The white clay soil is unique for this area. The second vineyard, located in Verzella, Castiglione di Sicilia, at an altitude of 700 mt., has black volcanic soil. Both vineyards produce "Nerello Mascalese" and "Nerello Cappuccio" born of the black and white soils "terre nere" and "terre bianche", each imparts its own distinctive personality to the wine that has been described as "simply sexy".

Nerello Mascalese and Carricante have been cultivated on Etna for over 4 centuries. Our vines are 70 to over 100 years old and grown on sloped terraces.
